I cannot give enough praise to the skill and talent of rapper Michael Larson. He is a great rapper, and a very well-rounded one. He can kill in a freestyle or rap battle. Check it.
He can also make the most deep and profound songs you may ever hear. This is one of my favorite songs off my favorite hip-hop album ever.
Eyedea has unlimited lyrical talent, but sometimes his beats don't live up to his lyrics. He is one of the best rappers ever in my opinion, his songs are literally beautiful works of art. If you do not own his album "First Born," then I highly recommend you get it, most of the songs will blow you away. All in all, Eyedea is a very well-rounded rapper, and he has insane talent and flow, check him out if you are interested, but you will be hearing much more about him on this blog.

"...sometimes his beats don't live up to his lyrics." - I couldn't disagree more - DJ Abilities is one of the most unique and talented producers that I've ever had the pleasure of witnessing. Sure, some of the sounds that he creates might turn off some listeners just because they're different, but I promise you that if you listen to the beats you aren't a huge fan of multiple times, you'll begin to appreciate the complexity of Abilities' beats
ReplyDeleteLet me reiterate this. I love DJ Abilities, and I love his music, and his beats are insanely good. In fact, all the beats on First Born just blow me away and I love them. Simply put, DJ Abilities is my favorite. But, I feel that Eyedea's lyrics are almost too good to be put to any beats, in a way, they take away from the beats. I do not exactly know how to explain it, but I feel that Eyedea's music is too great. And not only that, but it is the opinion of many other Eyedea fans that I know, that the beats on some of his songs are sub-par. But personally I love it, I just try to be as un-biased as humanly possible.

ReplyDeleteTop rap and hip hop beats are created by artists before the actual lyrics are put into place.Once the beats are created, then the lyrics are added. The beat which iscreated can determine what the singer has to say and the specific time.
